Many of these children reside in makeshift shelters built from whatever can be found in the landfills, leaving them vulnerable to the elements, especially during the rainy season. School options for the refugees are limited. Getting the children into the local schools is a great short term solution, but the ideal is to have a school that shares the values & quality our support team has come to expect.
1. 650 school aged refugee children have no school.
2. Transportation to regional schools is far from family.
3. Refugee parents are unable to travel to the schools & unable to participate in their children's education.
4. An emergency home within the school is needed for children in great need.
5. Our teams on the ground have made great progress with local authorities that make this dream a reality now.
