We have been dedicated to equipping children to reach their full potential. Together, we have transformed the lives of over 1,114 children by fighting hunger, poverty, and crises. Our Journey: A Timeline of Impact
1992 - Catastrophic flooding in Asia destroys thousands of homes and families causing extreme poverty
1999 - Anita places 70 kids in schools with monthly financing and mentorship. She begins building a network of trusted staff
2000 - J.R. and Anita get married, and found the sponsorship program which grows to over 1,000 kids.
2003 - A prototype school with 12 students is founded, with the goal of expanding to 500. Political shifts in the region cause J.R. and Anita to relocate to South Africa.
2006 - While J.R. and Anita lead educational camps and work with schools and teachers in South Africa, the original students start their own careers, families, and run the Asian operations.
2008 - J.R. and Anita move to the US to finance their staff through real estate sales, & their business. Teams continue working today in border towns in Asia & USA.
2008 - Anita travels back and forth 3-4 times a year until Covid hits
2009 - Some of the original rescued children from Asia live with the McGee family in their home in the USA & attend university for many years
2013 - The McGee family moves their home base to Redding CA to be connected to a global mission base and networking while Anita continues traveling 3-4 times to Asia a year to equip & train the teams
2014 - The McGee family helps with a mission school in Cleveland OH & Anita continues travels to Asia
2016 - The McGee family moves back to Redding CA & Anita continues travels to Asia & continues to host Asian students and run camps from their home
2020 - Many of the children in Asia are now adults leading companies, business, and schools, not only have their own children, but are continuing to rescue more children and expand the work Anita started
2020 - Covid locks down traveling and even communication due to political sensitivities
2021 - Cyber attacks on phones & computers as well as police interrogations reveal the seriousness of government sensitivities
2023 - Sponsorship & rescuing of Thailand children begins
2024 - Mae Sot, Thailand: Myanmar civil war refugee children, and trafficking in the region become highlighted & teams united. 70 children are supported!
